Our different packaging solutions offer a variety of features such as tamper evidence, high clarity or premium closures. We offer bespoke artwork options on plastic (IML & labelled) printed with digital presses on a selection of label substrates, as well as litho options onto metal.
The materials used in these ranges spread through PP, PET and HDPE plastics, Tinplate and Aluminium – some of which are suitable for wet environments and others for durability. Chiltern Pressed Oils came to P Wilkinson Containers through a label supplier when they were looking for a change of packaging format for their rapeseed oil. They were packaging in plastic with a label but wanted to rebrand to a premium pack for high end retailers.
Wilkinsons encouraged a move to metal and supplied an oblong can (42mm piercing, 2.5L with a berg fitment). We also needed to find a printing solution to emulate their label design on a different surface material. We stopped using foil labels and moved to bespoke cut labels, where the metal shines through instead.
Wilkinsons was able to produce the Chiltern Pressed Oil cans in bigger batches and hold in stock for the client allowing for short lead times and helping with cash flow.
