There’s no doubt that the last few years have been more than economically turbulent not just for manufacturers but indeed the UK economy.

In March, growth figures from the Office for National Statistics said that national output as measured by gross domestic product rose by 0.2% in the first month of 2024, largely as result of a sharp recovery in retail sales after the latter half of 2023.  But warned against reading too much into one month’s uplift.
